Accessible Trail Coming Soon

Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is developing a new Accessible Trail to provide a barrier-free outdoor experience for individuals of all abilities. Designed with limestone screenings and geotechnical fabric, the trail will accommodate wheelchairs and walkers, winding through woodlands and prairies. Features will include benches, educational signage, a pollinator habitat, a rock garden for gatherings, and a sound station to enhance sensory experiences.

Envisioned in 2021 and planned with support from the National Park Service in 2023, this trail will connect existing paths, expanding inclusive outdoor opportunities in Barry County.
