Welcome to the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute Blog!
We’re excited to welcome you to the brand-new blog for Pierce Cedar Creek Institute! Whether you’re a longtime supporter, a curious visitor, or someone discovering us for the first time, we’re glad you’re here.
This blog is our way of sharing more stories, insights, and behind-the-scenes moments from life at PCCI. Here, you’ll find updates on conservation projects, educational programs, research fellowships, special events, and more. We’ll also spotlight the fantastic people —our staff, students, volunteers, and community members —who help bring our mission to life.
As we approach our 25th Anniversary, our Grand Opening was on June 22, 2001; we’re especially excited to capture and celebrate the more than 25 years of stories that have shaped who we are today. From early milestones to recent innovations, this space will help honor the legacy of PCCI while looking ahead to what’s next.
As a nature center, biological field station, and environmental education hub, we are constantly inspired by the land around us and the people who help protect it. Through this blog, we hope to encourage you to learn, explore, and connect more deeply with the natural world.
Stay tuned for posts about our trail system, our projects like the innovative Climate Resilient Land Management program, stories from student fellows in science and the arts, and tips for enjoying the beauty of southwest Michigan every season.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. We’re looking forward to growing this space together, rooted in curiosity, discovery, and a shared love for nature.
See you on the trail,
The Pierce Cedar Creek Institute Team
