Research Opportunities

Summer Research:
A Lasting Experience

The Undergraduate Research Grants for the Environment (URGE) program provides funding for students and faculty advisors to conduct research at the Institute each summer.

Each undergraduate student is eligible for a $3,000 stipend, on-site housing, and partial meal support for their full-time 12-week research project. Each faculty advisor is also eligible for up to a $3,000 stipend that can be used for time, supplies, travel, or other research support.

In 2007, 16 grants were awarded. Click here to see a listing of 2007 grant recipients and an overview of their projects.

For more information about the URGE program or other research opportunities, please contact Matt Dykstra.
