Driving Directions

From Grand Rapids/Hastings
Travel south on M-37, through Hastings, to Cloverdale Road, approximately nine miles. Look for the Michigan Department of Transportation sign "Pierce Cedar Creek Nature Preserve". (If you have reached the village of Dowling, you have gone one mile too far). Turn right (west) onto Cloverdale Road and travel approximately 2.5 miles (portions of the road are unpaved). Our entrance is on the left (south).

From Battle Creek
Travel north on M-37 to Cloverdale Road (one mile north of Dowling). Look for the Michigan Department of Transportation sign "Pierce Cedar Creek Nature Preserve". Turn left (west) onto Cloverdale Rd and travel approximately 2.5 miles (portions of the road are unpaved.) Our entrance is on the left (south).

From Kalamazoo
Travel East/North on M-43 (Gull Rd) through Delton, to the Village of Cloverdale. Look for the Michigan Department of Transportation sign "Pierce Cedar Creek Nature Preserve." Turn right (east) on Cloverdale Rd and travel approximately 4.5 miles (portion of the road are unpaved). Our entrance is on the right (south). If you have reached the crossroads, Cloverdale and M-37 you have gone too far.

From Lansing
Travel south on I-69 to Exit 61, (Charlotte, M-79 west). Follow M-79 to M-66. Turn left (south) on M-66, and take an immediate right (west) on Lawrence Rd. Follow Lawrence Rd west to M-37 (Lawrence Rd ends at M-37). Turn left (south) on M-37 to Cloverdale Rd, approximately 3 miles. Look for the Michigan Department of Transportation sign "Pierce Cedar Creek Nature Preserve". Turn right (west) on Cloverdale Rd and travel approximately 2.5 miles (portions of the road are unpaved). Our entrance is on the left (south). Please note that some Internet mapping programs may direct you to take M-79 to M-66 and turn on Cloverdale Rd from M-66. Please do not follow these directions. Cloverdale Rd does not directly run from M-66 to Pierce Cedar Creek Institute. It is recommended that you follow the directions listed above.

From Detroit
Travel west on I-94 to the Helmer Road exit. Go north on Helmer Road, which becomes M-37 at Michigan Ave, and then follow the directions from Battle Creek.

From Chicago
Travel east on I-94 to the Sprinkle Road exit at Kalamazoo. Follow Sprinkle Road to M-43 and turn right on M-43 (Gull Road), and then follow the directions from Kalamazoo.
