Today’s environment presents us with a number of challenges and opportunities to becoming a more sustainable society. Pierce Cedar Creek Institute’s annual conference is changing to help individuals face the environmental and social challenges around them and find the solutions that will help our communities become more sustainable. This year’s conference will have a focus on permaculture, which encompasses more than just what you plant in your yard. Viewing life through a permaculture lens affects how we go about procuring food, housing, transportation, and how we view our connection to the greater community. Break-out sessions are designed to cover a diverse area of topics from an introduction to gardening and energy saving strategies at home to sustainable economies and how to help your community work towards sustainability.
