This two-week course at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is designed to instruct pre-service and in-service teachers in basic ecology and improve their science skills in the classroom. Much of the course work takes place in the field and is driven by inquiry-based activities and team-based projects.
Tuition is typically paid through the home college; however, students may audit the course if they do not need the credits. Course and housing fees are paid to the Institute. Residency is required during the week. Students stay in air-conditioned, dormitory-style lodging at the Institute. Meals are prepared by our chef and include options for all dietary needs. A computer lab and wireless internet access are available on site.
